Royal Mikawa: The Forgotten Province
Mikawa was an ancient province in Japan, subjects of Mikawa were known for their mining of rare natural gemstones. The precious stones they mined were coveted by royalty all over the world, known for their mystical qualities.
One of the few remaining paintings of Mikawa shows the people of the province mining around a tree. The tree seen in this ancient painting of Mikawa inspired our logo, to ensure the principles of Mikawa are embedded into every bracelet we craft - loyalty, courage, veracity, compassion, honor and a respect of the preciousness of life.
